Kornelis Poelstra, MD PhD

Kornelis Poelstra is board certified in orthopaedic spine surgery. He specializes in minimally invasive, robotic spine surgeries, arthritis of the spine, spinal deformity, oncologic conditions, spine fractures, disc replacements, spinal cord injuries and more. He has also done research with wound infections, stem cell implantation, advances in minimally invasive spinal surgery and treatment studies after spinal surgery. He has also received numerous certifications and awards from teaching and lecturing around the world. 

Charles Wingo, MD

Dr. Charles Wingo is board certified in orthopaedic spine surgery. After working 25 years in Tallahassee FL, he came here to the Emerald Coast. He specializes in the evaluation and management of all spinal problems with an intent to locate the specific pain generator. If symptoms persist beyond what core conservative care can resolve, Dr. Wingo also has a special interest in motion preservation spine surgery and interventional pain procedures.

Aaron Creek, MD

Aaron Creek is board eligible in orthopaedic spine surgery. He completed a comprehensive adult and pediatric spine surgery fellowship in both Orthopaedic and Neurosurgery at the Norton Leatherman Spine Center. Dr. Creek specializes in minimally invasive, robotic spine surgery. He constantly strives for excellence through the integration of optimal patient selection, data-driven indications, refined technical skill, and astute clinical decisions. He pledges a lifelong journey dedicated to the improvement of our community’s lives and advancement in the field of spine surgery. 

Lori Poelstra, MD

Lori Poelstra is board certified in anesthesiology and interventional pain medicine. She specializes in the evaluation of the neck and back, non-surgical treatment of cervical and lumbar disease, interventional pain medicine procedures, regional anesthesiology, epidural steroid injections, spinal cord stimulators, functional discography, peripheral nerve blocks, and small and large joint injections. 

Jon Needler, PA-C

 Jonathan Needler is a board-certified Physicians Assistant who has spent time over the last 11 years working with various spine specialists and neurosurgeons. Jonathan has assisted in numerous surgical procedures which allows him to explain to the patient the process the diagnostic work up and the surgical procedure itself.  Jonathan has worked for Dr. Poelstra over the last 8 years establishing a close working relationship and familiarity with Dr. Poelstra's preferences regarding appropriate treatment plans 

Anna Braun, ARNP

 Anna Braun is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner who is from Central Florida. After receiving her bachelors in nursing from Samford Univerity in Birmingham, she acqurired her masters in nursing from The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). Anna comes to us after spending the last seven years as a first assist in the UAB operating room. She has extensive experience in the operating room with first assists and is competent at both office based and surgical settings. 

Rachel Samuelson PA-C

 Rachel Samuelson is a board-certified Physician Assistant who specializes in spine surgery.  As a Kansas City native, she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Human Biology at the University of Kansas before receiving her Master's in Physician Assistant Studies in Gainesville, Florida.  Prior to joining us, Rachel worked alongside various surgical specialists, assisting in clinical and surgical settings as a first-assist.  She is educated in the diagnostic work-up and trained to provide all aspects of spinal care with great compassion
